City View represents a refined and strategic expansion of the rooftop level at Bulkara Residence, shaped entirely by its dramatic view toward Sydney Harbour. The terrace form is defined by a series of angled perimeter walls that lean outward toward the skyline—gradually opening the space and framing panoramic views of the city and harbour beyond.

This dynamic, height-shifting enclosure serves a dual purpose: it screens neighbouring dwellings from view while directing visitors’ attention outward. At no point on the terrace can one see into adjacent bedrooms or backyards, and equally, neighbouring properties are shielded from any activity on the terrace. The result is a rare condition—an outdoor space that feels both open and completely private.

The organic curved perimeter wall flows naturally with the site, visually softening the architectural edges and integrating harmoniously with the surrounding environment. It wraps around the rooftop void above the pool, allowing visual connections between levels—visitors standing at the edge can look down into the water below, reinforcing the vertical cohesion of the entire home.

Access to the terrace is provided via a discreet, motorised skylight. Seamlessly integrated into the rooftop planting beds, this entry point remains visually unobtrusive while providing a sense of theatrical reveal as one transitions from the interior to this elevated, immersive outdoor retreat.
